The absolute abundance of Zahabi’s unknowns compared to his knowledge in the field of epistemology and teachings of Gnosticism, as well as the basics of gnostic interpretation, made him confused to analyze gnostic hermeneutics, and he failed to judge them. Basically, he had no accurate conception of the theoretical gnostic; although, he would admit his low awareness of theosophists’ speech, he has postulated the inaccuracy of gnostic teaching for pantheism! He did not even have an accurate conception of hermeneutics and its components in Gnosticism. In some cases, due to his unawareness of theosophists’ speech, Zahabi has accused the gnostic interpretations of esotericism; in some other cases, he has measured them in conflict with Shari'a. While theosophists have strongly opposed esotericism and emphasized that Quran interpretation and hermeneutics are subject to their alignment with Shari’a and arbitrary should be strongly avoided. Zahabi was unaware of the gnostic theory for the spirit of meaning and its positive functions in gnostic interpretation, as well as theosophists’ approach to spiritual interpretation. The whole unawareness has misled Zahabi in a position to criticize the gnostic interpretation method.
