Shatah is one of the types of mystical statements and one of the important elements of the language of mysticism and the most important meeting point of mysticism and logic. From the point of view of logic, Shatah is a kind of :union: of opposites and the integration of two discordant sides that forms the paradoxical level of the language of mysticism. Based on this, many theories were proposed by mystics and modern researchers about the causes of logical contradictions in Shathiyat. In this direction, the use of code and symbolic language was considered a way to understand the subtleties of mystics. Such an insight is one of the common presuppositions in the theology of the 20th century, which considers talking about God's existence, attributes, relations and actions as symbolic. The present research, with descriptive and analytical methods and using library documents, seeks to understand the theory of symbolic language of Paul Tillich, a Christian philosopher and theologian. In this scope, benefiting from the linguistic and symbolic elements of concepts and propositions about God is effective for examining and analyzing the biases and opening the apparent contradictions of the mystics' speech.
